Whether you’re tackling the Sprint or Olympic distance, the Royal Windsor Triathlon has a stunning course that encompasses some fantastic sights. Scroll down to get the details.

As with any event of this nature, it may be necessary to make amends to these provisional routes, but these are usually minimal.

SWIM

SPRINT 750M | OLYMPIC 1500M

The Royal Windsor Triathlon begins with the famous River Thames swim. You start swimming downstream, before a turn and challenging upstream section.

BIKE

SPRINT 22KM | OLYMPIC 40KM

Stunning cycling awaits as you venture out of historic Windsor and into some beautiful surroundings.

Please note: this event contains an open road cycling route and all participants must abide by the Highway Code and Human Race Cycling Code – click here to read them.

Please note that the Olympic distance will feature a 2nd lap of the top loop of the course. Please make sure that you study the course map and familiarise yourself with where the 2 decision points are for when you will do this, and make sure you keep your head up and look out for these on the day. These locations will also be signed. Make sure you do not just follow those in front of you and rely on them to wayfind for you as they may not be reading the course correctly, or may be on a different lap.

RUN

SPRINT 5KM | OLYMPIC 10KM

The run course incorporates the spectacular Long Walk in front of Windsor Castle enabling you to run on royal grounds. Olympic distance must complete three laps and the Sprint two laps.
